I’m Amanda, a Senior Recruitment Consultant who built her career inside the mining and chemical production world. Eighteen years of in-house recruiting taught me how teams grow, what leaders need, and how the right hire can shift the direction of a workplace. I enjoy forming genuine relationships with hiring managers and supporting them with honesty, clarity, and a stable hand throughout the process.
My Story
Hi, I’m Amanda. My career began in mining and chemical production, and it became home for nearly two decades. During that time, I supported recruitment for roles of every size and complexity, and I learned how to navigate different personalities, expectations, and team dynamics.
What I enjoy most about recruitment is working directly with hiring managers. Understanding how their teams operate and what they hope to achieve gives me the context I need to support them well. I like exploring options, asking questions, and sometimes introducing candidates who bring something unexpected but meaningful to the table. Clients and candidates often describe my style as collaborative and trusting. Purposeful is the value that resonates most with me, because it reflects how I communicate and how I approach the work.
My weekends usually involve friends, family, and whatever patio happens to have the best view. When the weather turns cold, I retreat indoors with a book and pretend I enjoy winter as much as summer. Pilates is my favourite way to unwind, a glass of wine is my favourite way to celebrate, and iced chai lattes are simply part of who I am at this point.
