I'm Amber, and I love being the person people call when something needs to get done. I enjoy solving problems, improving processes, and helping turn ideas into action. With experience in communications, operations, administration, and leadership, I've built a career around jumping into new challenges and figuring things out as I go.
My Story
Hi, I'm Amber. My career started in communications and administration before taking me overseas to England and Ireland, where I worked in roles that taught me how to navigate different personalities, solve problems quickly, and adapt to just about anything. Those experiences reinforced something I've carried throughout my career: I enjoy helping people, but I also enjoy building the systems and processes that help them succeed.
After returning to Saskatchewan and completing my Bachelor of Commerce, I continued building my career in operations and business support roles. Over time, I realized I enjoy being the person who takes an idea and figures out how to make it happen. I like solving problems, improving workflows, and finding practical ways to make work easier for the people around me. At Hughes, I support our team and clients by helping turn good ideas into action and making sure the details don't get left behind.
You can usually find me building, making, or planning something. I love cooking, gardening, candle making, and tackling creative projects around the house. When I'm not creating, I'm often out with my dogs, on the water, or planning my next adventure. So far, I've explored more than 30 countries and there are still plenty more on my list.
