I’m Riad, a recruitment professional with a strong business mindset, an entrepreneurial background, and a natural ability to connect people. My career has taken an unconventional path, and those experiences gave me a strong understanding of people, organizations, and how to bring the right ones together. I take a straightforward, practical approach and focus on doing the work well and doing it honestly.
My Story
Hi, I’m Riad. I studied Business at the University of Saskatchewan, but much of my learning came from the wide range of work I took on throughout my life. From early jobs and hands-on labour to running small businesses and working in sales, I was always drawn to improving processes, building relationships, and doing things with purpose.
Over time, my path shifted into people-focused roles, including employer liaison work and talent acquisition, which led me into recruitment and ultimately to Hughes Collective. Today, I focus on work that relies on strong relationships, clear communication, and an understanding of both people and business needs. My approach is grounded in respect, professionalism, and honesty. I value transparency and want clients and colleagues to feel confident and able to trust that I will follow through on what I commit to.
Most of my time outside of work is spent outdoors or watching sports. I enjoy walking, biking, camping, and exploring new places whenever I can. Soccer, basketball, football, and MMA keep my competitive side happy, while filmmaking, photography, and good movies help me unwind.
